As the new millennium opens up before us
and the United States grows ever more diverse, the nation’s
Hispanic population is exerting its presence over many facets of
the public life – from education to entrepreneurialism, popular
culture to politics. The development of our nation– a process
that encompasses human, social, community and economic aspects –
depends on how Hispanics can contribute as positive members of
American society, and how inclusive American society is of
Hispanic contributions toward the construction of a truly
American millennium.
To this end, the Raśl
Yzaguirre Policy Institute is dedicated to the advancement of
Hispanic leadership and scholarship, with the goal of helping
bridge the gap between the theory and practice of public policy
by drawing together experts from academia, government, business,
and non-governmental organizations.
