***ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING VIDEOS***

The University Police Department is making available to the campus community two training videos  that may give you guidance on how to react if an armed person should ever make his way onto campus.  The newly added “Shots Fired – On Campus” Student Edition focuses on students’ response to an active shooter incident. “Shots Fired – When Lightning Strikes” College & University Edition assists University employees on how to respond to an active shooter in the workplace.   These videos have been previously shown to various departments on campus through our Crime Prevention Program. The videos runs 15 minutes and both videos are fully licensed and authorized for viewing.

For futher information, please contact Sgt. Delma Lopez at 956/316-7151 to schedule a campus police safety presentation/discussion related to this video.    This would give your group an opportunity to ask the officer specific questions related to an active shooter event.
