The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) has established URAP to assist in fulfilling the university's goal of increasing retention and graduation rates.
The goals and objectives of URAP are intended to enhance the opportunity for UTPA students to complete their post-secondary education by fostering an environment supportive of their success. The plan of operation includes elements which build a partnership between students and various academic and support service units in order to assure students' successful integration into the university community and the timely progression toward their educational goals.
The program serves UTPA students by developing and implementing programs that supplement the instructional and support services offered at the university. It also provides students the means to develop self-reliance and independence as integral elements necessary to develop their academic goals.
