Who We Are

The Gamma Beta Phi Society is a non-profit, honors and service organization for students in colleges and universities in the United States.  The University of Texas - Pan American chapter was chartered on November 10, 1995 and operates in conjunction with the Honors Studies Program.

Objectives of Gamma Beta Phi

To recognize and encourage excellence in education.

To promote the development of leadership ability and character in its members.

To foster, disseminate, and improve education through appropriate service projects.

Specifically, the UT - Pan American chapter participates in activities that benefit the community and the university and that place a strong emphasis on completion of the Honors Thesis.  Many activities are provided that are specifically geared towards aiding the members in their thesis work.  Information is readily available from graduate students who have already completed their thesis, as well as the chapter advisor.
