The STEM Lecture Series is part of a national initiative to inspire more students to enter and succeed in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). To compete globally, the United States needs a generation of more STEM field graduates.
"Through the STEM Lecture Series we try to bring dynamic speakers who pose thought provoking ideas to our students and the community," said Sylvia Saenz, director of Graduate Studies at UTPA. "We want our students to learn about and be inspired by these leaders in their field."
