More than 100 toys were distributed to children in the intensive care and in-house pediatric unit Dec. 19.
Every year UTPA's holiday party committee hosts a toy drive during the University's Christmas reception and, once again, the UT Pan American community showed its generosity with its contributions and made the drive a success.
Faculty and staff collected more than 400 toys. The committee set up drop-off boxes at the reception and selected four organizations to receive the toys: Mujeres Unidas, Estrella’s House, Edinburg Children’s Hospital and the KRGV Channel 5 Toy Drive.
