ASSIST self service down, payment deadline extended

Students at The University of Texas-Pan American trying to meet today's deadline to pay for the Fall 2011 semester now have more time to settle their accounts.

UTPA's ASSIST self service payment system malfunctioned Tuesday, Aug. 23 — which is also the final day students had to pay for their fall semester classes.

Because of the technical difficulties, the University is extending its deadline through tomorrow, Aug. 24 to allow students to make payments online.

Students who prefer to take care of their accounts in person can come to the Payments and Collections office in the Student Services Building. The office will remain open through 7 p.m. today, Aug. 23 and 6 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 24.
