Signing up for direct deposit of their student account refunds will enable students to avoid delays in mail delivery and the subsequent visit to their banks to deposit or cash the paper check said Zeke Granado, associate vice president for Business Affairs. Funds for students that sign up for the service will be available in their checking/savings accounts within three business days of the initial disbursement by the University.
“Students should take advantage of the time saving benefits this new program offers and get their refunds faster than ever before,” Granado said.
ASSIST provides a variety of online services to UTPA students regarding registration, financial aid, payment, and grades. The Direct Deposit Student Guide, which provides step-by-step instructions to utilize this new service, is available under the ASSIST (assist.utpa.edu) Resources section.
