| Local U.S. congressmen are collaborating with UTPA's Southwest Border Nonprofit Resource Center's Stronger Together Initiative to implement new federal funding the SBNRC was awarded to strengthen area nonprofit’s organizational development during the national economic downturn and recovery. Lucila Lagace, director of Stronger Together, explains, “Stronger Together is a unique opportunity for nonprofits not only to receive free training and one-to-one assistance but also to secure financial assistance for those development needs that are not in their budget today.”
