While at UTPA, Fay will also speak to cadets in the UTPA and the University of Texas at Brownsville/Texas Southmost College ROTC battalions.
Fay was commissioned through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, N.J., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1970. He later earned an MBA in finance from St. John’s University in New York. Fay retired from the military in May 2008 after 38 years of service. He is currently executive vice president of Worldwide Property and Casualty Claims for CNA.
The event will be held in the UTPA Student Union Theater from 5:30-7 p.m. Students and faculty will be in attendance, and the event is open to the general public.
The speaker series is sponsored by the Integrated Global Knowledge and Understanding Collaboration (IGkNU) at UTPA. Created under a federal grant from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, IGkNU's role is to educate students with critical thinking and other necessary skills to become the next generation of not only national security and intelligence leaders but leaders in all sectors of the global economy at large. IGkNU is administered under the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
