A delegation from The University of Texas-Pan American headed by Dr. Paul Sale, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, met Sept. 30-Oct. 2 with administrators and faculty members from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and Universidad de Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) in Monterrey, Mexico. During the visit, UTPA officials were able to renew an agreement with UANL for collaborative academic and research programs as well as faculty/student exchange. At ITESM, where a similar agreement was established with UTPA two years ago, representatives from both institutions were able to review and reinvigorate their existing programs and relationships. Traveling with Sale from UTPA were the deans and other faculty and staff members of the six colleges and directors and other staff members from the Center for Learning, Teaching and Technology, University Library, Office of International Programs and Center for Border Economic Studies. Pictured left to right signing the renewal of the agreement of cooperation between UNAL and UTPA are Sale and Ing. José Antonio González Treviño, UNAL president.
