The CAE at UTPA was established Oct. 1, 2006 with the goal of educating the next generation of national security and intelligence leaders as well as leaders for the global economy at large. The CAE focuses on broadening the skill sets of students through research, team communication, and advanced interdisciplinary studies.

The event is open to the public and will be held 5:30-8 p.m. at the UTPA Engineering Auditorium, Room 1.300.
Future speakers this semester in the Global Security Studies and Leadership Speaker Series will be Dr. Raul Benitez, American University School of International Service and former professor of international relations in Mexico, on March 29, and Dr. David Shirk, director of the Trans-Border Institute, University of San Diego on April 19. Both are authors of works on national security and international issues.
