Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about local programs providing home purchase assistance, as well as resources available to rehabilitate your existing dwelling. Local agency representatives will be present to discuss your needs and help you apply for existing housing programs. A partial list of organizations represented include: United States Department of Agriculture-Rural Development, Amigos Del Valle, Inc., South Texas Economic Development Corp., Community Development Corporation of South Texas, Spirit of Faith Housing Resources (formerly Community Hope Projects), Edcouch Housing Authority, Delta Region Revitalization Corporation-Housing Committee, UTPA-COPC, Falcon International Bank and the Office of Congressman Rubén Hinojosa.
“Housing Application Day” will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the Edcouch Housing Authority Community Center located at 209 W. Pacific in Edcouch.
