Dr. Blandina Cárdenas, UTPA president, welcomed the attendees to the ball and thanked them for their support in higher education. She also introduced the three honorees of the evening.
“I am delighted to share this evening with you because it is a second year of what we hope will become a tradition that will solidify the bonds between this extraordinary group of people who have come to this University and who are contributing to the development of the Rio Grande Valley in every way,” Cárdenas said.
