The NCEE/Goldman Sachs Foundation National Economics Challenge is the only national competition for high school economics students. It provides students with the opportunity of an athletic competition in academic excellence. Its purpose is to honor high-achieving students and to showcase outstanding high school economics students.
In each competition, teams of students answer rigorous questions on microeconomics, macroeconomics and international economics. The most exciting round of the competition is the final round conducted in an oral quiz-bowl format. Only the top two teams from the first three rounds compete in the final round. Awards will be given and the winning team will advance to state competition, with the opportunity to advance to district and national level.
