| McAllen Medical Center Foundation recently presented The University of Texas-Pan American Foundation with a $25,000 check for the STCC Transfer Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities and Scholarships (VAMOS) Program. Pictured at the check presentation held at the Shary/Shivers estate are left to right Joe Ramirez, chair of the UTPA Foundation Board; John Schrock Sr., chair of the McAllen Medical Center Foundation Board; and Daniel McLean, CEO of South Texas Health System. Schrock and McLean are also members of the UTPA Foundation Board. This contribution is part of a long term commitment by the McAllen Medical Center Foundation to help local students achieve their educational and career goals by giving money designated for future scholarships. | |
