| The University of Texas Pan-American President Dr. Blandina Cárdenas was honored at a reception hosted by A Resource in Serving Equality (ARISE) Dec. 8 in Las Milpas. ARISE, initiated in 1987, is a program dedicated to developing colonia communities by offering activities for infants to adults. Cárdenas shared her plans as the new president and also talked to parents and children about how the University operates and the opportunities available to students pursuing a higher education. | |
