Mary Cummings, certified senior advisor who specializes in long-term care financial planning and is the author of the newspaper series, “Senior Focus”, will be speaking at the 22nd annual Estate Planning Seminars, sponsored by The University of Texas-Pan American Foundation.
The seminar – held January 25 at the Echo Hotel in Edinburg from 12:30-3:30 p.m. – will include the topic “Preplanning to Meet Future Long-Term Care Expenditures.” Participants will learn about long-term care, costs of home care, assisted living and nursing facilities, Medicare, group insurance and other financing options.
Also speaking at the seminar will be Earl Davidson, a certified financial planner. Davidson will speak about “Crisis or Immediate Need Planning for Long-Term Care Expenditures.” His portion of the seminar will cover topics such as rules and regulations for Medicaid, expectation to the Medicaid income using a Miller trust, asset divisions and protection and home protection.
