| The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures recently held a Poetry Festival in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) at the Student Union Theatre. More than 20 students read original poetry and poetry written by Hispanic authors. Above, Esmeralda Quiñones reads an original poem "¡Que lindo es México!" while Marcelino Rangel plays music in the background. The department will also present a folkloric performance Thursday, Oct. 10 in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. For more information, call 381-3442. | |
