The performances – featuring a variety of modern dance choreography focused on small group and solo works – will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Jeffers Theatre in the UTPA Communication Arts and Sciences Building.
Artistic Director of the Dance Ensemble Melinda Blomquist, will present four works, including “Relationships: The evolution Of” – which begins as a light -hearted look at the interaction and evolution of different relationships individuals encounter.
Blomquist will also present, “At One Time” – which focuses on the process and importance of reaching for difficult goals.
Other works featured in the concert, include choreography from Laura Grabowski, a former UTPA dance faculty member. Among Grabowski’s work that will be featured, include “Black Swamp Sashay” – a fun performance done to folk music; and “Seascape” – a work that evokes images of the sea.
