Bill Morris, director of Institutional Research at The University of Texas-Pan American, recently received the President’s Award from the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
A member of TACRAO since 1976, Morris was recognized for his contributions, vision and professionalism.
During his tenure with TACRAO, Morris has served on the Texas Common Course Number System, Audit, Technology and Local Arrangements committees. He also has been treasurer, president-elect, president and past president of the organization.
Recently, and with help from University programmers, he also devised a computer program that committee members can use to input their sessions toward developing printed programs.
“Throughout my career, I have known Bill Morris as a hard worker for TACRAO, involved at many levels, including the presidency,” said Dr. John Edwards, UTPA vice president for Enrollment and Student Services. “But he has also been a wonderful advisor and friend.
“Bill represents what is best about our organization. It is now my pleasure to be able to work with him almost on a daily basis and to benefit ‘close up’ from his sage counsel.”
