A reception for the exhibit is Sept. 20 from 7-9 p.m. in the University Gallery in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building. Spaulding also will give a lecture the same day from noon to 1 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 228.
The exhibit consists of large structures built primarily of commercially manufactured material mixed with glazed and altered bricks, including images from past work sites, cities and the Internet. Shrink-wrap is used to solidify the constructions and because of its association with shipping.
Admission to all exhibitions is free, and the galleries are open Monday through Friday, except University holidays. For more information or special accommodations, please call the University Gallery at 956/381-2655 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
