The upcoming production of “Elizabeth and Robert,” scheduled for Dec. 6-10 at The University of Texas-Pan American University Theatre, has been postponed until spring.
The two-person show features Alice Hawley of the UTPA Alumni Association in one of the title roles. She was recently hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery, thereby preventing her from performing.
Current plans call for the performance to resume March 1-4. Subscribers have received written notification of the postponement, and current subscriber cards will be honored on the new dates.
“They will do the show as soon as Alice is ready,” said Dr. Marian Monta, University Theatre artistic director. “She is doing very well as a result of the surgery, and her recovery is proceeding without complications.”
