The University of Texas-Pan American University Theatre will host a reunion weekend Oct. 27-29 in conjunction with the opening of the new theater season.
This year's gathering, which follows a 1995 reunion, occurs during performances of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible." Some former theatre members will be featured in the production, directed by current UTPA graduate student Mauro Flores Jr.
A cocktail party is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 28 at the home of Dr. Marian Monta, communications professor. It will be followed by a continental breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Studio Theatre and then a campus tour.
The reception begins at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Studio Theatre, followed by dinner and “The Crucible.” A cast party follows the 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.
