Vassberg will tell the fascinating story of a thriving Swedish farming settlement in eastern Hidalgo County in the early 20th century. Within a generation, however, the Swedish colony disintegrated, its people scattered, and Stockholm became a ghost town.
The Faculty Forum is part of a series sponsored by the UT Pan American Alumni Association. Tickets are $12.50 per person and include a complete lunch.
