Edinburg - Monday, July 12, is the application deadline for students planning to register late for fall classes at The University of Texas-Pan American.
Applicants must turn in an application form, test scores and supporting documents such as high school or college transcripts by July 12 to ensure processing for admission for the fall 1999 semester. Students must also show they have taken the Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP) test.
Under state regulation, anyone enrolling for fall classes at any state institution of higher education in Texas, including UT Pan American must take the TASP before they will be allowed to enroll in classes.
Applications received after July 12 will be processed for the spring semester.
Students who apply now will register for fall classes Aug. 25 and 26 in the University Fieldhouse. Registrants will be given an appointment time in their registration packets at a mandatory orientation session. Fall classes begin Aug. 30.
