UTPA’s education dean to speak at next Faculty Forum March 3

Dr. Hilda Medrano, dean of the College of Education at The University of Texas-Pan American, is scheduled to speak on "Teacher Preparation in the State of Texas and UT Pan American" at the next Faculty Forum at noon Wednesday, March 3, at the Tower Club in McAllen (200 S. 10th, Suite 1700).

Dr. Medrano has been instrumental in establishing UTPA's field-based teacher education program as a statewide model for other universities.

This Faculty Forum is part of a series sponsored by the UT Pan American Alumni Association. Tickets are $12.50 per person and includes a complete lunch. Reservations can be made by calling 381-2500.

The last speaker in the series this semester will be Dr. Robert Edwards, professor of biology, who will discuss "Exploring Mayan Ruins from a Biologist’s Perspective" April 7.
