Rubink's topic will be "Bees: African ('Killer'), European and Otherwise."
A research entomologist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Research Station in Weslaco, Rubink has a PhD in entomology from Colorado State University and bachelor's and master's degrees in soil science from Utah State University. He has worked with the honey bee program at the Agriculture Research Station in Weslaco for 11 years.
His presentation will be followed by a reception. The program and reception are free and open to the public.
