There will be a reception for the artist from 7 to 9 p.m. April 2 in the University Gallery.
Martin has exhibited his work at several galleries around the country, including the Law Sone Fine Arts Center at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, the Norick Art Center of Oklahoma City University, the Bry Art Gallery at Northeast Louisiana State University in Monroe and the Community Arts Council Inc. in Goldsboro, N.C.
His work has won a number of awards, including the top award, the "Juror's Award," and a third-place award at the 21st annual American National Miniature Show of the Laramie Art Guild in Laramie, Wyo., the "Artist Choice Award" at the fourth annual National Juried Miniature Art Show at the Parkland Gallery in Kirkland, Wash., and second place at the 22nd annual International Miniature Art Exhibition in Florida.
University Gallery hours are 1:45 to 4:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. For more information, call 381-2655.
