UTPA to delay opening until 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29
Due to expected sever winter weather, The University of Texas-Pan American will delay opening until 10 A.M. on Wednesday, January 29; classes will start at 10:45.

Please use caution when driving to campus and pay attention to hazardous road conditions and traffic advisories.

UTPA Library presents "America's Music" film series
The first in a six-week program series of documentary film screenings and scholar-led discussions of 20th Century American popular music will kick off on Monday, Jan. 27 at The University of Texas-Pan American. The series, free and open to the public, will continue on consecutive Mondays through March 3.

UTPA alum and economics professor Alberto Dávila receives national award
The American Society of Hispanic Economists awarded Dr. Alberto Dávila (BA '77), professor and V.F. "Doc" and Gertrude Neuhaus Chair for Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas-Pan American, its 2014 Academic Achievement Award. This biennial national award recognizes ASHE members who have made a vast array of academic accomplishments and contributions throughout their careers to the economics profession.

Leave your mark! Celebrate the construction of the APAC
The University of Texas-Pan American invites students, faculty, staff and all area residents to become a part of the UTPA Academic and Performing Arts Center’s (APAC) history by signing a steel beam that will be permanently placed at the center’s new facility. The beam will serve as an art piece witnessing everyone’s involvement and support. Signatures will be collected on Jan. 13-14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Jan. 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
