CAMPUS ALERT: UTPA to Close Due to Tropical Storm Alex
The University of Texas-Pan American will officially close the main campus and all of its satellite locations today, Tuesday, June 29, at 10 p.m. after the end of the last scheduled class due to Tropical Storm Alex, which is expected to intensify and become a hurricane. The University will remain closed Wednesday, June 30; Thursday, July 1; and Friday, July 2. UTPA anticipates resuming regular classes and office services Monday, July 5.


UTPA Hosts Texas State Guard members
The University of Texas-Pan American is hosting about 700 service members of the Texas State Guard who have been activated to the Rio Grande Valley in anticipation of Tropical Storm Alex.

Deadline extended for Stronger Together Initiative grant applications
