College of Business Administration hosts lecture by distinguished marketing scholar March 5
Faculty and students at The University of Texas-Pan American will have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Kent B. Monroe, Emeritus John M. Jones Distinguished Professor of Marketing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Visiting Distinguished Scholar in marketing at the University of Richmond, during a lecture scheduled for Friday, March 5 at the university.

Five alumni honored at “Pillars of Success” exhibition opening ceremony Feb. 19
Nearly 200 family members, friends, faculty, staff and students came together Feb. 19 to celebrate the opening of the “Pillars of Success” exhibition, which features the photos and the success stories of five distinguished alumni that will be on display in the university’s Visitors Center for the next two years.

UTPA mourns Feb. 14 passing of faculty member Kathryn Dodd
It is with great sadness that The University of Texas-Pan American announces the passing of Kathryn Dodd, a lecturer in the Biology Department in the College of Science and Engineering.

Dodd died Sunday, Feb. 14 following a brave battle with cancer for the past five months. She was 50 years old.

After seeing the devastating images of Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti, a professor from The University of Texas-Pan American has transformed her and other citizen’s desire to help into a program to serve as emergency response training for natural or man-made disasters.
