Flag football team crowned national champs
Congratulations to The University of Texas-Pan American intramural flag football team, the Stallions, who were recently crowned the 2007 National Intramural Recreation Sports Association Flag Football Champions. This was the first time a UTPA Intramurals and Recreational Sports team has won a national title in any intramural event.

New articulation agreements make transferring to UTPA easier
For students wanting to transfer to The University of Texas-Pan American from Texas State Technical College Harlingen, the process will now be smoother thanks to three articulation agreements signed by the two institutions Jan. 17.

UTPA recognizes TBEC honor roll schools
Dr. John Edwards, vice president for student enrollment services at The University of Texas-Pan American and Texas Business and Education Coalition (TBEC) volunteer, presented Edinburg CISD’s Norma Linda Treviño Elementary School with a banner Dec. 14 for being named one of 270 TBEC 2006 honor roll schools in the state.
