Cinco de Mayo has been declared Rubén Hinojosa Day at The University of Texas-Pan American College of Education. The college will host a breakfast with the congressman at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the University Ballroom followed by a grant writing workshop. A dinner program on Thursday, May 15 will kick off a scholarship fund drive in honor of State Representative Roberto Gutierrez.
The University of Texas-Pan American honors administrative professionals during the month of April. UTPA President Dr. Miguel A. Nevárez decreed the week of April 20 to the 26 be Administrative Professionals Week.
