Austin philanthropists set up scholarship fund

Officials break ground for research division of RAHC in Edinburg
Officials from The University of Texas-Pan American, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), City of Edinburg, and legislative representatives picked up shovels and broke ground for the $20 million Medical Research Division of the Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Edinburg.

UTPA Accounting Department Tees Off
A team of business students from The University of Texas-Pan American teed off Saturday, Dec. 7, and took top honors in the first annual “Debits and Divots” Golf Tournament hosted by the UTPA Department of Accounting and Business Law.


UTPA holding registration for spring semester
The University of Texas-Pan American is gearing-up for another semester, and early registration numbers indicate a significant increase from the same time last year. As of Dec. 3, there was a 10 percent increase with 33 days left for early registration.

Night of Lights draws record crowd
A record crowd of 25,000 enjoyed a lighted parade, musical groups, posada, fireworks and of course caught a glimpse of the man of the hour – Santa Claus – at the fourth annual Night of Lights festival at The University of Texas-Pan American, Saturday, Dec. 7.
