UTPA third in nation in bachelor’s degrees to Hispanics
The University of Texas-Pan American is third in the nation in the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded to Hispanics, according to The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education’s annual "Top 100: The Colleges Best for Hispanics" issue, released in late April.

South Texas Youth Symphony schedules spring concerts May 9, 15
The South Texas Youth Symphony, under the direction of Dr. David Davenport, will have two spring concerts — at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 9, in the Fine Arts Auditorium at The University of Texas-Pan American and at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium.
