UT Pan American Rehab Services holding reunion May 9 for 10th anniversary of program
The Rehabilitative Services Program at The University of Texas-Pan American will hold a “Ten Year Reunion” of graduates and employees of the program from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 9, in the University Ballroom.


UT Pan American to distribute bar codes for teachers, future teachers taking ExCET
The College of Education at The University of Texas-Pan American will distribute bar codes May 11-15 to current and former students planning to take the June administration of the teacher certification exam, the ExCET.

UT Pan American graduate to hold booksigning April 30 in new International Trade and Technology Building
Dr. Armando C. Alonzo, an alumnus of The University of Texas-Pan American, will discuss and hold a booksigning for his book, Tejano Legacy: Rancheros and Settlers in South Texas, 1734-1900, on Thursday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the International Room (room 1.102) of the new International Trade and Technology Building on the UT Pan American campus.

The Friends of the Library at The University of Texas-Pan American will present entomologist Dr. William L. Rubink May 3 at 2 p.m. in the Schilling Room on the second floor of the University Library.

Dr. Rodolfo Arévalo, a native of Edinburg, Texas, has been named vice president for academic affairs and provost at The University of Texas-Pan American effective June 1, President Miguel A. Nevárez has announced.

UT Pan American graduate student honored by Texas Academy of Science
Joseph Kowalski of McAllen, a graduate student in the master of science in biology program at The University of Texas-Pan American, has been honored for the second consecutive year by the Texas Academy of Science for his presentation of a scholarly research paper at the group's 1997 annual meeting.
