Rio Grande Valley high school seniors, transfer students, and anyone looking to begin a college career have many options when it comes to picking a college and The University of Texas-Pan American wants to be first choice.
During the event, future Broncs and their families will experience a day filled with activities, food, information sessions, a campus tour, door prizes, entertainment, and a chance to meet with future friends, student organizations, professors and staff.
"This year, Fall in Love with UTPA will host a special session in English and Spanish, where participants will gain a better understanding of the important role family members play in supporting students with their academic success and personal growth," said Mayra Martinez, associate director of Admissions and New Student Services.
Financial aid advisers will be on site to guide the application process and help make paying for college possible for most any family. Academic presentations and mock classroom presentations will display all the academic choices UTPA has to offer for a successful future.
Future Broncs will also have the opportunity to win generous scholarships and get a sweet taste of campus life at UTPA.
"After experiencing a day in the life of a Bronc and a chance to see all UTPA has to offer we are confident participants will fall in love and hopefully apply," Martinez said.
Fall in Love with UTPA is open and free to the public but space is limited. Future Broncs can register at www.utpa.edu/fallinlove. If special needs are required, contact Veronica Rodriguez at (956) 665-7442. Visit the UTPA Facebook to see a photo gallery of last year's Fall in Love with UTPA.
