The Office of Graduate Studies at The University of Texas-Pan American is providing a one-stop shop for the entire community to learn about the master's and doctoral programs offered at the University during its annual Graduate Fair March 7.

The Graduate Fair will be held 5-8 p.m. at UTPA's Community Engagement and Student Success Building (formerly the Haggar Building) at 1407 E. Freddy Gonzalez in Edinburg. Admission is free and open to everyone.

Graduate school recruiter Stephanie Ozuna said with more than 60 graduate programs, the opportunities at UTPA are endless for anyone seeking to further their education or advance in their career and income.

"A graduate degree opens doors for personal and professional growth and usually leads to greater compensation. According to the U.S. Census, the median income of a person with a graduate degree is more than 35 percent higher than someone with a bachelor's degree," Ozuna said.

During the event, attendees will be able to speak one-on-one with program directors to learn more about the program requirements, application process and career possibilities. There will also be information sessions on topics such as: How to Pay for Graduate School, Being a Successful Applicant, Conquering the GRE and many more. Graduate school staff will also be available to help prospective graduate students start their application, on-site.
