This holiday season bring your family to The University of Texas-Pan American and enjoy a special performance the entire family will love. Brian Warren, communications department associate professor, and Marlene Galvan, English department lecturer, co-wrote the upcoming "Golden Cobwebs," a children's Christmas play, presented by the UTPA Theatre for Young Audiences. Warren is also the play's director.

"Golden Cobwebs" tells the story of a little boy who thinks Christmas is a bunch of "hooey" until one Christmas Eve, when he awakens to find a trio of evil spiders trying to destroy the family Christmas tree. The boy joins a group of Christmas fairies to battle the spiders. When the cobwebs clear, all of us will have our Christmas spirit renewed.

The show will run December 6-8 at 7 p.m. and December 8-9 at 2 p.m. at the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre in the Communication Arts & Sciences Building, located on the corner of University Drive and Sugar Road.

General admission is $3 regardless of age. For more information, call the University Theatre Box Office at (956) 665-3581.
