The University of Texas-Pan American college community showed their holiday spirit by contributing more than 300 toys to the annual President's Toy Drive.

Students, faculty and staff donated a variety of items, including a bicycle, dolls, educational CDs and videos, electronic games, stuffed animals and many other toys.

The items were delivered to the Hidalgo County Headstart Program located on the UTPA campus, the UTPA Child Development Center, Channel 5's Toy Drive and Edinburg Children's Hospital.

On this day, Dec. 18, UT Pan American President Robert S. Nelsen is pictured (back row center) delivering the gifts to the children who participate in the Headstart Program.
