The University of Texas-Pan American received another boost from United Launch Alliance with a $3,000 donation to benefit its College of Engineering and Computer Science.
This is the fourth donation the booster rocket maker has given the University. Previous donations have allowed the college to purchase equipment, support faculty and student projects and activities, said Dr. Miguel Gonzalez, the college's associate dean.
United Launch Alliance has offered other help throughout the years, including offering internships and other opportunities for students and having company managers serve on the college's advisory board, Gonzalez said.
"We're very grateful they support us and it's a win-win situation," Gonzalez said.
