The UTPA Children's Theatre invites you to take an emotional journey with your family at the final 2011-2012 production of "The Yellow Boat" by David Saar May 3-6.
"The Yellow Boat," though entertaining and magical, is based on a true story about Saar's son, Benjamin, who was born with congenital hemophilia and died of AIDS at age 8, and how he used his imagination and creativity to cope with his illness.
Check out this great performance that features a cast of community children and University students. The show is a wonderfully moving tribute to the strength and courage of children everywhere.
The play will run May 3-4, 7 p.m.; May 5, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and May 6, 2 p.m. at the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building, located on the corner of University Drive and Sugar Road. Admission is $3 per person regardless of age.
