The University of Texas-Pan American is gathering all of its graduate programs under one roof March 10 to offer a one-stop shop to learn about the many master's, doctoral and graduate certificate programs offered at the University.
The Annual Grad Fair, hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies, will be held 5-8 p.m. at the UTPA Annex Building, 2412 S. Closner Blvd., Edinburg.
"At the fair, prospective students can not only learn about more than 60 graduate programs UTPA offers to further their education but also about a number of graduate certificate programs the University offers for working professionals seeking to gain professional development and added expertise in their field," said Denisse Cantu, graduate student recruiter.
Many graduate program directors will be on site to share information on their program's requirements. Graduate school staff will also be available to help prospective graduate students start their application process that same day at the computer lab that will be provided at the event.
More than a dozen information sessions will be offered on topics such as financial aid and scholarships, preparing for the GRE and GMAT entrance exams, the application process, juggling the responsibilities of school, work and family, graduate school success tips and others.
Admission is free and open to everyone. Those who register online will be eligible to win a Nook™ e-reader.
