Tuition support scholarships are available for high school and elementary science teachers who will be enrolled in master's courses at The University of Texas-Pan American this fall. Applicants must be currently enrolled for the fall semester or apply by the late admissions deadline of Aug. 18.
The UTPA Collaborative for Excellence in Science Teaching is offering $500 tuition support scholarships for 20 high school teachers and 20 elementary teachers to take graduate science courses.
High school science teachers need to sign up for two graduate chemistry courses and one education course and be working toward a Master of Education in Secondary Education or a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies during the fall semester in order to qualify. Elementary science teachers need to enroll in three graduate science methods courses and be working toward a Master of Education in Elementary Education in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
