The University of Texas-Pan American is preparing to welcome new students for the summer and fall semesters through several new student orientation sessions that will be held on campus in May and June.
All new students are required to attend a new student orientation session. Orientation dates for entering freshmen are May 30-31, June 4-5, June 11-12 and June 18-19 and May 20, June 2 and June 17 for transfer students.
During orientation students will enhance their social integration into the college community by learning about the UTPA campus, clubs and organizations, student services, financial aid, academic programs and student life. They will also learn about campus support services that will help them make a smooth and successful transition to UTPA. Students can also improve their college coping skills by interacting with other incoming freshmen and UTPA faculty and staff.
All students who have been accepted to UTPA should receive an orientation reservation form in the mail. If you do not receive an orientation reservation form, you can send your name, date of birth and the orientation date to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is still time to register for summer and fall classes too. Late admission deadlines are May 21 for Summer I 2008; July 7 for Summer II 2008; and Aug. 18 for Fall 2008.

"As this chapter of a student's life concludes it is time to open the newest chapter that, in my opinion, is one of the most exciting. We (UTPA) wish all graduates a smooth transition from high school to the University and remind them that we are here to help."
