UTPA strengthens relations with ITESM - Campus Guadalajara

Dr. Paul Sale, provost and vice president for academic affairs at The University of Texas-Pan American, headed a UTPA delegation Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2007 to Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) - Campus Guadalajara, Mexico, where he signed a joint declaration of commitment to strengthen academic relations with ITESM - Campus Guadalajara. The visit reinforced the existing academic collaboration between the two institutions as well as the on-going faculty and student exchange programs between the Colleges of Science and Engineering, and Business Administration of these institutions. ITESM - Campus Guadalajara has committed to send more students to participate in the Plastics/Mecatronics Program and the Study Abroad Program in Salamanca, Spain. The Mexican partner institution also expressed strong interest in joint research and teaching opportunities for faculty members of both institutions.
