John Flores Jr. plays an evil spider trying to ruin Christmas in the next University Theatre production, "Golden Cobwebs," which runs Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
The University Theatre will present a special children's holiday production, "Golden Cobwebs," written by senior student Marlene Galvan and faculty member Brian Warren Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre.

The University of Texas-Pan American show starts at 7 p.m., Nov. 30-Dec. 2, in order to allow the youngest audience members to still get to bed at a reasonable time. The Dec. 3 performance will begin at 2 p.m.

The play tells the story of Billy, a little boy who thinks that Christmas is a bunch of "hooey." But in the middle of Christmas Eve, he wakes up to find a group of evil spiders trying to wreck the Christmas tree. When the battle between the evil spiders and the Christmas fairies is over, Billy has learned what the tree really means.

Tickets are $3 per person regardless of the age of the individual. Season subscribers and UTPA ID holders get in free.
