Career Services hosts first Law Enforcement Career Expo

The University of Texas-Pan American Office of Career Services hosted their first Law Enforcement Career Expo for UTPA students Friday, Sept. 8 at the University Ballroom. At the Expo, students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from various law enforcement agencies including the following: Austin, Dallas, Houston and McAllen Police Departments, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife, U.S. Marshals, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Federal Probation, UTPA Police Department, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, U.S. Marines, and U.S. Border Patrol. The U.S. Border Patrol is currently looking to hire more than 8,000 agents by Dec. 31, 2008.
