Brooke Bloomquist, 8, develops her dribbling skills during the Mini Bronc Basketball Camp, being held at The University of Texas-Pan American June 19-22. The camp is held each day from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the UTPA Fieldhouse, and the cost is $95. However, the cost of camp will be prorated for anyone who signs up during this week. Campers should bring shoes, socks, shorts, and their own lunch each day. They should also bring their bathing suit and towel for an end of the camp swimming celebration. Camp instructors include UTPA basketball coaches and players who will teach kids the basic fundamentals of the game. The Future Bronc Camp, a basketball camp for boys ages eight to 17 will be held next week and be led by the same group of instructors. In July, a volleyball camp and a basketball camp will be offered for girls and will be led by UTPA players and coaches.
